“Be Salty”

This comes from Matthew 5:13–16, where Jesus calls us the salt of the earth and the light of the world. It means carrying God’s love, truth, and presence into places that feel dark, overlooked, or broken without losing who you are. Salt preserves, brings flavor, and changes the atmosphere around it.

For us, “Be Salty” means staying genuine, loving people well, bringing hope, and remembering that even in hard places, your life still carries value and purpose.

For a dancer or a woman working in the club, “be salty” can mean:

• Don’t let the environment or the work define who you are.
• Keep your heart soft in a world that can make people hard.
• Remember your worth is deeper than your body, performance, or hustle.
• Protect and uplift others instead of tearing them down.
• Refuse to become numb, fake, cruel, or hopeless.

Salt is noticeable. Even a little changes the atmosphere around it. Sometimes being salty looks like:

• checking on another girl in the dressing room
• standing up for someone vulnerable
• speaking life instead of gossip
• staying honest and genuine
• praying quietly
• loving people without pretending

The beautiful thing about Matthew 5 is that Jesus was not speaking to polished or perfect religious people. He was speaking to ordinary people living under pressure, hardship, and survival. He was reminding them that they still carried value, purpose, and the ability to bring light into dark places.
